(Stats through Wednesday's games.) Whitener: The Yankees have gone 14-5 in May and risen to the top of the American League East despite battling injuries. Could they have the AL's best record by the All-Star break? Bell: Absolutely, although the Astros and Twins will have something to say about that. New York was my pick to win the AL East this year, and once the Yankees are fully healthy, the division will be theirs to lose.
