“Travaux De Dames?” a group exhibition will run through September 17, 2017, at Les Arts Décoratifs, Paris.The selection of works on display features the evolving role of women in applied arts such as textiles, fashion, ceramics and design and also in areas such as photography and drawing. The exhibition shows the scope of female activity in a variety of fields and how the status of women has progressed from creators mastering techniques to which they have often been confined to that of female artists working freely in all medium. The exhibit contains more than 200 creations dating from the late 19th century to today in a chronological order.
