Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montréal is hosting an exhibition “Phyllis Lambert: 75 Years at Work” that will be on view through June 4, 2017.Curated by architect, author, scholar, and activist Phyllis Lambert (born January 24, 1927 in Montreal) herself, the exhibition traces the evolution of her ideas and her architectural, curatorial and editorial work on the occasion of her 90th birthday. Highlighting her deep commitment towards the city of Montréal and the built environment and to intellectual research, the objects on view at the exhibition provides a chronological account of the great chapters and discoveries of her life, including her early work, the Seagram building, her architectural education and first steps in that profession, the Saidye Bronfman Centre project, photography missions, and conservation and restoration projects, both in Montreal and abroad, and the creation of the CCA itself, revealing the constant radicalism of her life. The exhibition is on view at Canadian Centre for Architecture, 1920 Baile Street, Montreal, QC H3H 2S6, Canada.
