Pandora, a London-based TV and radio presenter, loves the British capital but also adores travelling the world and has plenty of other travel tips. She journeys far and wide to pursue her thirst for adventure – skydiving in Croatia, seeking the Northern Lights in Finland or climbing some of Morocco’s highest mountains.Pandora, one of the few female DJs on our airwaves, now broadcasts on KISS (after time on Choice and Capital FM).Blouin ARTINFO caught up with her and asked her for some travel tips – for the adventurous and for those who like a little safer travelling. Where is home?On the sofa with my two dogs - all cuddled up with Netflix on.Best place to live?London. Despite living in the city my whole life, there are still so many places I have yet to discover. It’s an incredible city from amazing restaurants, spectacular music venues, clubs, and parks to great education and people. I love the fact that you can still get completely lost in London yet feel like a complete local where everyone’s your neighbor. I am a Londoner through and through.Name your favorite restaurant.Pho. I fell in love with this place last year. It’s affordable, fun and relaxed. I had never tried Vietnamese street food before, so it was a first and I absolutely loved it. It is the perfect combination of comfort food that’s healthy for you. [There are a number of Pho restaurants now around London and elsewhere, with the Great Titchfield Street and Wardour Street locations among the most famous.]Best place for a nightcap?Balans in Soho, because it’s open (almost) 24 hours! The cocktails are incredible and the fact that you can get a full English breakfast any time of the day is like the best thing ever! It’s a Soho institution.Best hotel?Insotel Fenicia Prestige in Ibiza. Not only is it beautiful inside, it has a beach on its doorstep plus a pretty love lock bridge (that I left a lock and message on)What is your favorite building? The Dancing House in Prague. It reminds me of one of those mirrors you get in a funhouse where the image goes all wobbly.Best club?Berghain in Berlin. If I had to describe it in one word I’d say “Adventurous.” Berghain is massive, I’ve been a few times and it just gets better and better, it’s all about the music, the atmosphere, the venue, the people and the fact that it never closes.... What more do you want?Best place for a first date?Thorpe Park. Why? Because you’re breaking the mold by not going to a restaurant or bar, you’ll have less ‘no chat’ moments plus it’s fun! I’m a big adrenaline junkie, so this is right up my street. Even if your date was a bore you’d still have a great time going on stealth for the third time! (Thorpe Park in Surrey is one of the first theme parks in the U.K.)Please name some must-visit places.1. Croatia Hvar. If you love getting out on a boat and enjoying sea life, this is the place for you. Even though it’s known for being a party island, it’s actually quite beautiful and there’s so much to do from scuba diving, hiking, kayaking, skydiving. (I am currently going for my AFF – accelerated free fall - license ). The food on the island is also delicious - obviously go with the fish as it’s so fresh.2. The Shard – Go for the view! (The 95-floor skyscraper designer by Italian architect Renzo Piano is the tallest building in the U.K.)3. Finland - Go and see the northern lights, I tried a few years ago in the coldest month of the year (February) when it was minus 20! I never actually got to see the northern lights even though we were there for 6 days but would definitely go again for the experience. Always check the weather guides.4. The Atlas Mountains of Morocco. I spent this New Year on top on Mount Toubkal in thick snow trying to make the summit. I got 400 meters from it then had to come back down because of altitude sickness. Even though we didn’t reach the summit, I really enjoyed the 14-hour walk. What was the last book you read?Lee Child’s “Make Me.” The latest in the Jack Reacher series. I move all of these books – I am a bit obsessed. What is your favorite music venue?Brixton Academy for the sloping floors, I’ve seen loads of artists, bands and DJs there and always have a great time because wherever you are you can see the stage. What is the best way to spend the morning?Spent with my dogs in Richmond Park, running after them, chasing deer!Pandora is on KISS weekdays blasting out “the old skool” music in #KISSTORY .
