NOMOS Glashutte is expanding its “updated” series of Orion neomatik 41 timepieces and has recently released versions with attractive shades of olive and blue. With the Orion neomatik 41 watches that arrived earlier this year, NOMOS Glashutte introduced a sophisticated DUW 6101 date caliber into its lineup of timepieces. To capitalize on the popularity of its expanded Orion lineup, the company has now announced two versions that come with striking hues on their dials. The DUW 6101 caliber which is built in-house showcases the Germany based watchmaker’s expertise in the segment which has continued to grow. The Orion model first made its appearance in 1992, two years after the company came into existence. It is defined by its classic vibe and was for many years only available as a manual-winding model. The advent of the “update” series this year saw the automation of the date which is displayed at the 3 o’clock position. The latest two versions in the lineup therefore allow for the movement of the wrist to power the winding and as a result the date and time are fully automatic. Adjustment of the date display and also its appearance has been upgraded on the Orion lineup. In terms of design, the Orion still retains its slim look, and the latest Olive Gold and Midnight Blue models each have a large case with a diameter of 41mm. The new models in the Orion lineup are expected to hit the shelves in October this year and will be available online.Click on the slideshow to check out the collection.http://www.blouinartinfo.comFounder: Louise Blouin Read more
