So-called spear-top fence, multipiece wrought iron construction, black lacquered, straight spearheads and ring decor, overhauled in the 1990s. Consists of: 6 fence panels (each c. 240 x 348 cm), 1 fence panel (c. 240 x 320 cm), 4 narrow panels (each c. 300 x 45 cm), one single gate (c. 300 x 100 cm), one double gate (c. 290 x 280 cm), total length c. 30m. Estimate: EUR 20,000 – EUR 30,000 (US$ 24,000 - US$ 36,000)- A sumptuous bedroom set. Modified Baroque style c. 1914/16, execution attributed to Portois & Fix in Vienna, consisting of 1 large double bed with canopy-like superstructure and 2 bedside tables; detachable bed head with depiction of the Votive Church in Vienna, 2 similarly executed bedside tables with multi-coloured marble tops, 2 bed inserts, mattress size c. 200 x 190 cm, canopy (c. 83 x 190 x 40 cm) with Austrian and German coats of arms and reference to the Dual Alliance, dated 1879 – 1914, 2 bedside tables c. 120 x 47.5 x 46 cm each. Estimate: EUR 15,000 – 20,000 (US$ 18,000 – US$ 24,000)- An exceptionally rare and extensive mixed lot of bronze applications from 19th century. Probably as decoration for an archway in a castle, high-quality raised and moulded bronze casts in the form of war trophies and warrior heads, traces of age and corrosion, partly broken and bent, 2 pieces in partly cleaned condition, mounted on three wall panels lined with fabric. Estimate: EUR 14,000 – EUR 16,000 (US$ 17,000 – US$ 19,500)- A Classicist long case clock from Austria/Germany c. 1800. Insert rectangular solid brass movement, turned movement supports, weight driven via wires, lever escapement, and length of movement 8 days, 214 cm height. Estimate: EUR 8,000 – EUR 10,000 (US$ 9,600 – US$ 12,000)- A German Baroque carriage clock from Germany c. 1700. “Caspar Sackherer Fridtberg” with moon phase and calendar, 1/4 hour striking mechanism and alarm function on bell, verge escapement. Maintenance required, damaged areas, signs of age and use, without guarantee for functionality and completeness, a supplemented ring-shaped table frame. 13.5 cm diameter. Type ‘à deux corps’, upright rectangular walnut and softwood frame with polished finish and canted fluted lesenes. The chest with 3 drawers, with stepped middle section, the cabinet with 2 doors, with portrait medallions and applied festoon decor, 205 x 154 x 54 cm, small wood parts replaced, restored condition. Cream-colour painted softwood frame on conical fluted legs, gilt, and frieze with carved applications in the form or floral festoons. Marble top of a later date, 87 x 131 x 64 cm, 1 Medusa head missing, the colour partly painted over, signs of age and use. Estimate: EUR 6,000 – EUR 8,000 (US$ 7,200 – US$ 9,600)- Workshop of Jacob van Schuppen (Paris 1670–1751 Vienna) – Portrait of Imperial Field marshal Prince Eugene of Savoy (1663–1736). Figural marquetry with images of Emperor Charles I of Austria-Hungary (1887 – 1922) c. 107 x 75 x 9 cm, Emperor Wilhelm II c. 41 x 27.5 x 6 cm, General Conrad von Hötzendorf c. 41 x 27.5 x 6 cm, as well as an Archduke (?) c. 47 x 41 x 7 cm, veneered and marquetried with different precious woods, well-kept condition. Estimate: EUR 5,000 – EUR 6,000 (US$ 6,000 – US$ 7,200)- A tapestry fragment from the first third of the 16th century. Felletin, Ateliers de la Marche, (Northern France), 220 x 238 cm. Tapestries from the series about the “Nine Worthies” were a popular courtly theme as early as the 14th century. The Nine Worthies are divided into three groups; Joshua, David, and Judas Maccabeus from the Old Testament; the pagan heroes: Hector, Alexander the Great, and Julius Caesar, as well as those belonging to the Christian faith: Charlemagne, King Arthur, and Godfrey of Bouillon.
