Galerie kreo in London is hosting Olivier Gagnère’s latest collection of vases, reaffirming the artist’s passion for ceramics. Gagnère has been collaborating with the world’s leading ceramicists for the last 30 years — from Quimper’s pottery in Brittany, Claude Aiello in Vallauris, to the Fukagawa manufactory in Arita, Japan, and the Bernardaud Porcelain Factory in Limoges.Gagnère has continuously redefined the shapes and standards of ceramics. Adorned with playful cabochons, rings, and loops, each work is whimsical as well as elegant. Presented in carnelian red, hues of gold and deep black, the limited edition series features six models: Ring, Tuxedo, Loop, Cabochon, Cup, and Facet.The pieces have been crafted with meticulous techniques in the famous ateliers of Sergio and Mauro Parigi in Sesto Fiorentino, Italy — with each piece revealing the outstanding artistry of these ceramicists. Olivier Gagnère is a French artist who began his career in Milan alongside Ettore Sottsass and the Memphis group in the early 1980s.
