Good news for the aesthetes. The Fondation d’entreprise Bernardaud presents an outstanding show, featuring some beautiful artworks made of ceramics. Titled as “Hitomi Hosono: C’est Le Bouquet!” the show will feature some of the beautiful decorative artworks created by Hitomi Hosono. The exhibition has been started in June, this year.Hélène Huret, Director of the Fondation Bernardaud and exhibition curator said, “In all cultures, flowers are present in the transactions between the living and the dead, between humans and divinities, and many different meanings are assigned to them. For the artist, the floral theme offers an inexhaustible repertory to address topical issues, whether defending endangered biodiversity or denouncing forms of domination.”The exhibition features the works of 17 internationally acclaimed ceramic artists on floral theme, and most of the artworks have never been displayed in France. The visitors of the exhibition will get a chance to witness various vases, plate rims, bowls and other items. The broad range of ideas articulated in these pieces express that this primeval, eternal theme has an amazing ability to revive itselfMore than a few of the works refer to the impressive convention of 17th-century still-life painting. This is a way for the artists to criticize today’s waste-generating society while claiming the status of “art work” for ceramics.“Hitomi Hosono: C’est Le Bouquet!” has been unfolded on June 23, 2017 and will be running through February 24, 2018 at the Fondation d’entreprise Bernardaud, 27 avenue Albert Thomas, Limoges, France. For details, visit: www.adriansassoon.com Click on the slide show to have a sneak peek of the artist’s work.
