Visit our competition website and submit your work for the chance to a new a new LG UltraWide monitor — and, ultimately, a custome workstation worth $10,000.A desk setup means as much to a graphic artist as easel, brushes, and paint do to a painter. The monitor screen, in particular, is both sketchbook and canvas, the place where work is drawn and displayed, and is crucial to efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.LG created a new monitor paradigm for digital creative work with the world’s first 21:9 ratio monitor. Now, responding to the demands of graphic artists worldwide, LG is introducing the largest 21:9 monitor yet, with a 38" screen: the LG UltraWide 38UC99. And to celebrate, we’re holding a creative competition — the LG UltraWideTM Festival, “Dream Canvas” edition — with 15 finalists winning LG UltraWide 38" IPS USB-C monitors, and one winner also receiving a custom workstation setup worth $10,000, along with a trip to CES 2017 in Las Vegas. The LG UltraWideTM Festival reflects the core purpose of the LG UltraWideTM Monitor — to make your digital life wider, more fun, and more convenient. The event got its start in 2015, when three YouTube tech stars helped three winning contestants create the computer setup of their dreams. This year’s “Dream Canvas” edition of the Festival is geared specifically toward designers, photographers, and other professionals full of creative passion. Anyone can enter by submitting an original 21:9 ratio image, and entries will be judged by three creative professionals who have created worlds of their own in their respective fields. In the first round, each contestant will post a 21:9 artwork on social media, along with the campaign hashtags (#LGUltraWideFestival, #DreamCanvas2016, #38UC99). The 15 finalists at the end of that round will be awarded the very latest LG UltraWide monitor, the 38" IPS USB-C 38UC99.In the final round, the 15 finalists will create 21:9 wallpaper artworks to fill the huge 3840 x 1600 screen of a 38UC99 monitor. During the judging process, all these artworks will be available for download by the public on the campaign website. The winner — who will be chosen based on a combination of judges’ scores, numbers of public downloads, and scores assigned by LG’s in-house evaluation team — will be awarded $10,000 worth of Dream Creative Desk Gear: a combination of hardware of the winner’s choosing. Yep, $10,000 worth. And the final winner’s work will be posted on the “Dream Canvas” campaign’s official website, along with social media and hundreds of global media outlets — and showcased at the LG monitor exhibition booth in the world’s biggest consumer electronics show, CES*, in Las Vegas 2017.*CES in Numbers: CES broke records for attendance in 2016. More than 170,000 attendees from around the globe gathered in its 2.47 million net square feet of exhibit space. No other event the depth of exposure to businesses connected to consumer technology. As a vital tool for realizing and conveying an artist’s vision, LG’s 38UC99 UltraWide monitor is a Dream Canvas. And the “Dream Canvas” edition of the UltraWideTM Festival will provide even more to one winning creator: a dream workstation setup and a venue for sharing artwork with a huge worldwide audience. The submission period is from Sept. 21 to Oct. 4.
