Graham foundation presents “Spaces without drama or surface is an illusion, but so is depth” curated by Wonne Ickx and Ruth Estévez at LIGA – Space for Architecture in an effort to expand their focus beyond Latin America to Europe and United Sates. The exhibition will be on view through July 1, 2017.This exhibition explores the dynamism of architecture and investigates its relationship with scenography and theatrical set design. Drawing inspiration from the 19th and 20th century toy theatres, this exhibition aims to provoke the contemporary designers to go deeper and explore the questions about space, depth, context, façade, and representation. The exhibition explores the correlation and similarities between theatrical sets and architectural scale model, majorly highlighting the space it creates between observer and object to prompt individualistic speculations. The exhibition is on view at Av. Insurgentes Sur 348, Colonia Roma Sur, Mexico City, 06700, Mexico. For details, visit: http://www.grahamfoundation.orgClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek of the exhibition. Read more
