Science Museum, London is currently hosting an exhibition titled “Robots,” which will continue through September 3, 2017.“Robots” traces our 500-year quest to reimagine ourselves – not through paintings or sculpture – but as machines. The exhibition showcases over 100 robots, ranging from basic, like the 16th-century mechanical monk, to cutting-edge robots from science fiction and modern-day research labs. The exhibition also encourages visitors to ask why we are making robots that resemble humans and interact in human-like ways. Visitors will encounter an incredibly life-like mechanical human baby, recently acquired for the Museum’s new robotics collection. In late 2017, “Robots” will embark on a five-year UK and international tour. The exhibition is currently on view at Science Museum, Exhibition Road, South Kensington, London, SW7 2DD.For details, visit: https://beta.sciencemuseum.org.ukClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
