Measurement: 94cm and 96cm high, the pedestals 121cm high, 46cm wide and 46cm deep. Featured in lot 476. Estimate: £ 18,000 –24,000 (23,000 USD – 30,000 USD)— “An impressive Silk Souf Kashan carpet,” Central Persia, on striking the yellow ground with metallic thread, the central scene depicting the ancient Persian (pre-Islamic) ruins at Persepolis, the four inner cartouches after a plate in the Hermitage depicting Sasanian king Shapur II hunting. Measurement: 580cm x 396cm. Featured in lot 316. Estimate: £ 15,000 – 20,000 (19,000 USD – 25,000 USD)— “A pair of German silver wine coolers and a silver tureen and cover” by Wolf & Knell, Hanau circa 1900. The coolers after a design by Juste-Aurele Meissonnier, the sides depicting the royal arms of France, the handles formed of bifid sirens each holding two dolphins. Measurement: height 25cm, length handle to handle 42cm, the weight of all three items 249oz.(3) Featured in lot 109. Estimate: £ 12,000 –15,000 (15,000 USD – 19,000 USD)— “A fine Isfahan Serafian carpet,” Central Persia, the central field with floral sprays and leaves, the delicate spiraling tendrils interlaced with palmettes and other flowering foliage, on a cream ground, a signature discernible on one end, reading “Woven in Iran, Isfahan, [by] Sayrafiyan.” Measurement: 338cm x 204cm. Featured in lot 315. Estimate: £ 12,000 – 15,000 (15,000 USD –19,000 USD)— “An early 20th-century gilt and patinated mounted Verdi Antico marble figural clock garniture.” The movement signed ‘H.Luppens, Paris,’ and with Samuel Marti pastille mark. The clock cast as Athena holding her spear, the shield forming the clock face with 4” Roman chapter ring centered by a Medusa mask. The clock 71.5cm high, the candelabra 74cm high (3). Estimate: £ 10,000 – 15,000 (13,000 USD – 19,000 USD)— “A pair of mid-19th-century French gilt bronze mounted ‘bleu nuit’ ground porcelain vases and covers in the Louis XVI style,” the designs after models by Jean Dulac retailed by Louis Auguste Alfred Beurdeley, Paris.
