Recently everyone focused on the Rock of Monaco on the occasion of the legendary Monaco Formula 1 Grand Prix, as well as on the iconic TAG Heuer watch, which celebrated its 50th anniversary in the Principality, as per the release from Tag Heuer.“To celebrate this milestone, the Swiss watchmaking brand announced the launch — during the year — of five limited edition pieces inspired by the decades from 1969 to 2019, which will pay tribute to timeless design, permanent innovation, and an icon of style, now more contemporary than ever,” states the release. The Monaco watch was the result of a radical design in all its aspects, which allowed it to reach where no other watch had reached before in terms of design and technology. The TAG Heuer model, in effect, was not only the first water-tight square clock but also offered the absolute first of a chronograph movement with automatic winding, according to the release. The Monaco collection of TAG Heuer received its name in 1969, the Grand Prix with more glamor of the calendar of Formula 1. It is impossible to find, therefore, another place and another location more indicated to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the emblematic clock.TAG Heuer launched its first limited edition of the Monaco model in the incomparable setting of Villa Key Largo, where Stephane Bianchi, CEO of the LVMH Watchmaking Division and CEO of TAG Heuer, and Frederic Arnault, Head of Strategy and Digital Area were joined by an ascendant star, such as Max Verstappen, from the Aston Martin Red Bull Racing team, accompanied by Patrick Dempsey, Bella Hadid , Winnie Harlow, Kai Lenny, and other select guests from all over the world, as per the release. The event went on for three days and the guests were able to attend some of the most prestigious and exciting events in Monaco, from a private visit to the Automobile Museum with a retrospective of the Monaco clock and more.
