Maison Perrier-Jouet has used creative liberty to tap the unconventional aspects of nature for over 200 years, driven by the free spirit of its founders and its relationship with Art Nouveau. Drawing inspiration from nature, the champagne house has always tried to infuse beauty into our daily lives. The values of Perrier-Jouet are fully echoed by Art Nouveau, wherein the House and various artists have teamed up to create a series of unique works. The House has always lived by this philosophy, which elevates its champagnes into an experience, as per an official release by the brand. The House united two of its Artisans of the Wild, Winnie Harlow and Richard Quinn, in an exclusive event revolving around nature and creation. The fashion designer thought of an extravagant dress for the model, inspired by the House's Art Nouveau heritage. The final creation is beautifully adorned with a lively motif of reinvented nature, which was carefully embroidered by hand. The highlight includes the presence of the Japanese anemone drawn for the House in 1902 by Emile Galle, who is deemed as one of the masters of the Art Nouveau movement. The flower, anemone, is emblematic to the House, and represents its vision of vivid, magnetic, unbridled nature which re-enchants the everyday. Galle, designed a swirl of anemones wreathed in gold for the Perrier-Jouet bottle. An unusual bottle was a true homage to nature as a source of inspiration, where the swirls of the white flowers echo the floral and delicate style of the wine, and become the emblem of the House, as per the brand’s website. The unveiling of this most stunning creation required an equally remarkable event. Winnie Harlow took the amfAR Gala Cannes as an opportunity to get dressed up and cause a sensation. For the uninitiated, Perrier-Jouet is a Champagne producer operating from the Epernay region of Champagne. The house came into being in 1811 and Pierre-Nicolas Perrier and Rose Adelaide Jouet are behind its inception. Perrier-Jouet has always celebrated the marriage of arts and crafts, calling on renowned artists such as Daniel Arsham, kloi DL, Makoto Azuma, and Tord Boontje, to create unique works, sublime objects on the theme of tasting champagne, but also artistic installations, as a fitting showcase for the close relationship between the House and Art Nouveau, as per the brand.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the event. https://www.blouinartinfo.com/ Founder: Louise Blouin Read more
