From 9 am to 6 pmTop lots of the sale:—Lot 33V: “1947 The Vespa 98.” It was built in the first two years, 1946 and 1947, 17,079 times. Their 98 cc engine made 3 hp, which was enough for a top speed of 60 km / h. For 100 kilometers, the Vespa needed only 2 liters of gasoline. In 1945, a first prototype, called Paperino, was created, which was assembled from surrounding aircraft parts, disc rotor wheels and metal scraps. In April 1946 the patent was applied for and production began in the same year. This Vespa 98 came the long way from Canada to Vienna. There she emigrated with her Italian owner, who also restored her many years ago. Chassis: 10493, Engine: 9507, without papers (without papers).
