American sportswear brand, J. McLaughlin recently announced the launch of its 2019 spring catalog, produced in collaboration with the Sarasota Architectural Foundation (SAF). As part of the company's commitment to celebrating its local communities, the catalog showcases “The Umbrella House,” “The Cocoon House,” “Revere Quality House” and other Sarasota landmarks, stated an official release.The catalog features the must-have Hester Coat, photographed in front of the iconic “Cocoon House” on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida designed by Paul Rudolph in 1950. To this “Add the soft Henri sweater, white Lexi jeans, Ruby reversible belt, tortoise sunglasses and chic wicker bag for the ultimate spring ensemble,” stated the release.Architect Paul Rudolph's “Umbrella House” (1953) located on Lido Shores in Sarasota, Florida, provides a modern backdrop for a signature spring look for men including the Gramercy Linen shirt and Lukas pant, as per the release.Kevin McLaughlin, co-founder and creative director of the brand has been quoted as saying in the release, «Modernism is at the heart of the J. McLaughlin brand. When it came time to shoot our new spring collection, Sarasota, the epicenter of East Coast Modernism, just felt right. McLaughlin creative team spent several memorable days exploring the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens, Ringling Museum, the Sarasota Polo Club, Sarasota Jungle Gardens, St. Armand's Circle, and the J. McLaughlin store at the corner of Main Street and Lemon Avenue in downtown Sarasota.
