The connect that blends fashion and art are part of Mango’s DNA: from collaborations with famous artists to its presence at international cultural events. The brand presented its Spring/Summer 2019 collection at the prestigious Elba Benitez and Heinrich Ehrhardt modern art galleries to offer an original tour that emphasizes the value of creativity. A concept that is constant in the narrative of the brand, and which will also take centre stage in the various projects to be developed throughout the season as per an official release.Sofia Sanchez de Betak, who presented the event as the brand ambassador of Mango, led the exhibition through the artworks on display, while revealing the trends of the season, according to the release.“The Mango offering for Spring/Summer 2019 includes timeless garments such as the trench coat, the masculine suit jacket of the openwork sweater, which features alongside groundbreaking designs, such as cycling trousers, in a range of pastel shades and tie-dye prints,” says the release. The event also witnessed a preview of the Mango Committed collection, garments designed from recycled fabrics and sustainable fibres that are part of ‘Take Action,’ the firm’s project which covers all actions aimed at creating a more sustainable business model. Combinations in black and white and nudes makeup this selection of minimalist-style and straight cuts with a rustic air, as per the release. The collection also includes festive and summery outfits through flowing dresses and dresses with embroidery. Textures and fabrics such as linen and Gingham check, patchwork or paisley prints add a more casual air, according to the release.“In the accessories section, raffia bags and berets present themselves as some of the must-have accessories this season. The gold-plated costume jewellery capsule and the irregular geometric earrings or materials such as glass acquire special significance, as is the case with the Mango sunglasses collection, designed in collaboration with Opticalia,” says the release. Those graced the occasion included regular brand collaborators, such as the influential #MangoGirls: Yasmin Sewell, Ada Kokosar, Chiara Totire, Leia Sfez, Erika Boldrin, Julie Pelipas, Tamu McPherson, Marta Cygan, Candela Pelizza and Sofia Moser Leitão, attended this event in which, once again, Mango celebrated passion for style and culture, according to the release.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the Mango collection https://www.blouinartinfo.com/ Founder: Louise Blouin Read more
