Bovet has introduced the first timepiece for women, the Recital 23 Moon Phase, with a “writing slope” case that features a bezel inclined at 6 o’clock.Swiss luxury watchmaker BOVET 1822 which was incorporated in 1822 started out by making pocket watches, but its most recent offering is targeted at women who want groundbreaking technical aspects in timepieces. The Recital 23 Moon Phase comes with a “writing slope” case which the house first featured in a timepiece in 2016, and was then used in the Asterium and Grand Recital tourbillons, which were released in the following years.The “writing slope” case which was designed by the owner of Bovet, Pascal Raffy, has a bezel inclined at 6 o’clock. With four complications housed within the unique case, the Recital 23 Moon Phase is designed to exceed collector’s expectations. The case itself is 43 mm high and 28.7 mm wide with the hours and minutes occupying an off-center dial at 6 o’clock; while the poetic moon phase present on the upper section is driven by precision mechanism that requires correction only once every 122 years. Included in the cabochon of the crown is a push button which helps adjust the moon phase.The Recital 23 Moon Phase is powered by a self-winding mechanical movement with 62 hours power reserve. The case is available in 18K white gold, red gold, or titanium, and is water resistant up to a depth of 30m underwater. Irrespective of the case material two dial choices will be available - blue aventurine glass with 10 round diamond indexes or black Tahitian mother-of-pearl that is adorned with a guilloche motif.
