NOMOS Glashutte has updated its successful Tangente neomatik 41 Update model with a Ruthenium dial, which gives it a sophisticated dark look.At the SIHH 2019 watch fair that took place in Geneva recently, NOMOS Glashutte, the German watch manufacturer based in Glashutte, Saxony released a new Tangente neomatik 41 Update model. The watch that features cutting-edge caliber technology and a reengineered date display last year impressed the jury of the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve and won in the “Challenge” category. The jury when conferring the award stated, “The Bauhaus watch is equipped with a handcrafted movement of a value far surpassing its price.”Building on its success at the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Geneve, NOMOS Glashutte has created a Tangente neomatik 41 Update model with a new dial enhanced with Ruthenium. A part of the platinum group and a very rare element, Ruthenium is famed for its ability to shift color between dark gray and golden brown depending on prevalent light conditions. The resulting timepiece, therefore, is unwaveringly elegant and has a date ring that circumscribes the dial. Exclusive NOMOS Glashutte features of the watch include two contrasting red markings around the current date.The watch comes with a 41 millimeters case that contains the DUW 6101 — NOMOS neomatik caliber that is built in house. It comes with automatic winding and a power reserve of 42 hours. Also onboard is the neomatik date mechanism and bidirectional quick correction feature. The case is created from stainless-steel while the galvanized dial is refined with Ruthenium, and the back is covered with sapphire crystal.
