Burnaby (on Cherribob)», monumental oil on canvas, signed lower right and dated 1923, «898 Park Ave» in chalk on stretcher, housed in gold and green molded frame with brass tag giving title, OS: 51 1/2« x 75», SS: 38 1/2« x 72». Estimate: $20,000 - $30,000- A Matched Pair of Important Period Card Tables. A Magnificent Pair of American Federal Period Shaped Top Card Tables in mahogany with bird's-eye maple panels, gilded leg decoration, brass lion head ring pulls mounted at the end flats, having a stanchion made up of a pair of back to back solid lyres with carved applique edges, painted strings, raised on a disc supported by four arched and leaf painted legs ending on scrolled feet. 29« x 36» x 18 1/2«. Cleaned and relined. Estimate: $15,000 - $18,000- Winslow Homer (Ma/Me, 1836-1910); »Portrait of John Murray Brown«, graphite on grey-blue paper, signed lower right, stamped on back and on mount as being from the collection of artist Joseph Imhoff, titled on scrap of paper adhered to back of mount. Unframed, rough landscape sketch on back. 12 1/4» x 9 1/4« sheet, deckled on two edges. Small spot on left, otherwise very good, remnants of paper tape hinged top back. Sheraton Sideboard, in mahogany, attributed to John and Thomas Seymour, with boxwood stringing, flame mahogany face, the overhanging turret edged top conforming to four front and two rear reeded column stiles that resolve into bowed, reeded and turned legs; the case has at center a wide shallow drawer flanked by two small silver drawers, over a two door cabinet flanked by two bottle drawers, the ends with a single drawer over a single cabinet door, the drawers having pressed brass knobs, 43» x 74 1/4« x 23 3/4». Fine condition.
