The rectangular beaded top above a narrow waist and apron of arched, curvilinear form with a beaded edge, the inner corners with curled leaf motifs, continuing onto cabriole legs terminating in curled feet. 37 1/4 in., 21 3/4 in., 10 in. Estimate: $ 20,000 - $ 30,000- Chinese Gilt-Bronze Figure of Manjushri. Qing Dynasty, seated in vajraparyankasana atop a double lotus pedestal, with legs and arms crossed, wearing elaborate crown with painted colorful touches throughout. Height 6 in. Estimate: $ 8,000 - $ 10,000- Chinese Lapis Lazuli Figure of Mythical Beast. Qing Dynasty, Lapis Mythical Beast with cloisonne base. Height 9 in. Sturdily potted of hexagonal section, the baluster body supported on a splayed foot, set with a waisted trumpet neck of conforming section, the sides well painted in brilliant tones of cobalt blue with simulated 'heaping and piling' with boughs of pomegranate, peach and persimmon alternating with flowering branches, decorated with spandrels painted as spiky lotus scrolls, springing from linked trefoils encircling the foot and pendent ruyi border around the shoulder, the neck and foot similarly painted with floral sprays divided by matching spandrels, all reserved on a yellow-enameled ground with three of the borders applied with a green wash, the base with six-character Qianlong seal mark. Height 26 1/2 in. Estimate: $ 8,000 - $ 10,000- Pair Partial-Gilt Bronze Geese Figures,Sotheby's. Japanese Meiji/Taisho period, realistically cast, each with beak and feet highlighted with gilt, the eyes with shakudo inlay, both signed Hisatoshi. Height of taller 9 3/4 in. Qing Dynasty, incised and painted on the interior with dragons striding among flower sprays in pursuit of flaming pearls, the exterior similarly decorated, all incised under the glaze and reserved on a rich egg yolk-yellow ground, the base with six-character Kangxi seal mark.
