Dior as part of its latest jewelry offering has brought out a whimsical and celestially inspired Rose Celeste medallion, designed by Creative Director Victoire de Castellane.Luxury fashion house Dior has been regularly refreshing its lineup with fine and high jewelry collections. The latest offering from the French fashion house comes in the form of an addition to the Rose des vents jewelry collection. The collection is heavily inspired by the lucky star that Christian Dior often used during his lifetime. In the Rose des vents collection, Dior Joaillerie Creative Director Victoire de Castellane has reinterpreted the star and provided it with eight points similar to a wind rose. The Rose Celeste medallion, however, draws inspiration from celestial bodies and brings the sun and moon together. The medallion has two sides, one of which features a sun created from 18K yellow gold paired with a diamond. A moon created from mother-of-pearl is paired with a trio of white gold stars, and is present on the opposite side of the medallion. Forming the background to the moon and stars is dark Onyx, which ensures that the elements of the foreground stand out. Additionally, the medallion can be twisted on the chain so that it switches from the sun to the moon side. Encircling the medallion is a twist of connected gold grain that provides a final flourish. The medallion showcases the fashion house’s rich heritage and fine jewelry savoir-faire, which has been refined under Victoire de Castellane. Dior has incorporated the medallion into bracelets and necklaces, which have a whimsical vibe and are designed to appeal to those looking for lucky charms.Click on the slideshow to check the medallion.http://www.blouinartinfo.comFounder: Louise Blouin Read more
