The way things have gone for Donald Trump this month, it's sometimes difficult to imagine he'll hang on until 2020. But let's say he does—what will he do if the economy isn't all that great when people head to the polls, which is a distinct possibility according to many economists. When voters went to the polls on Nov. 6, the economy was one of the only bright spots Trump could point to in a portfolio of crappy outcomes after his first two years in office. Here's the top lines on some of his biggest failures: The GOP totally and utterly failed to repeal Obamacare and replace it with Trumpcare, not once, but several times. My 401(k) is soaring.» The New York Times wrote a whole pre-election story about them. On a recent Saturday afternoon, a Muirfield resident, Rick Vanover, took in the Ohio State football game at the Bogey Bar and Grill. “How do I feel about Trump? I’ll tell you,” he said. He punched up an app and held his phone to display the digits 26,447, the Dow’s closing the day before: once again near record territory. Yeah. Well, the market's been a little shaky lately and most economists say the economy is likely to get a lot more lackluster over the next couple years, with many seeing a recession on the horizon.
