Ammann Gallery’s “Summer Group Show” featuring works by Ron Arad, Hélène Binet, Alessandro Mendini, Studio Nucleo, Florian Borkenhagen, Ettore Sottsass, and others, is on view through September 20, 2018.“The exhibition focuses on the theme of constant movement and change in identity and surroundings, which is shown through the stillness of the extraordinary photography and the dynamics of the pieces selected for this exhibition,” the Ammann Gallery informs.Hélène Binet was the recipient of the Julius Shulman Institute Excellence in Photography Award of 2015. Binet is presenting the prestigious and architectural work of Peter Zumthor in combination with the breathtaking landscape of the mountainous town Vals. “The talent to capture architecture in context with their natural surrounding and being known as the master of light and shadow in her photography has earned Binet worldwide recognition,” states the gallery.Florian Borkenhagen is based in Hamburg and works with found treasures from the harbour area. “His love for miscellaneous pieces together with his intellectual play on words and given normative in society makes his works unique across the design world. As such ‘Liegeplatz’ is characterized by the necessity to keep on moving forward and the constant change that people and society but also nature is exposed to,” adds the gallery.
