Spearheaded by Max Fraser, “100% Futures” is a new feature at this year's 100% Design that shines a light on the most cutting-edge designs and innovations under the theme “Designing for Cities” from September 19-22.“Covering travel, technology, well-being, public spaces, and sustainability the exhibition will showcase ideas around the future of city-living and the best of design for improving urban environments across the world,” states 100% Design.100% Design reveals that Max Fraser as the curator of “100% Futures.” Max has hand picked a selection of entrepreneurs and designers who will share their favourite innovations based on design that improves city living which will be showcased as part of a mini exhibition at the show.The participating designers include Jon Marshall, Emily Brooke MBE, Chris Connors, and Sophie Thomas.Jon Marshall is an industrial designer whose work fuses product design with strategy, branding, packaging, and digital experiences. He joined Pentagram as a partner in 2018. Following early stints at Ross Lovegrove, Pentagram, and Barber & Osgerby, in 2012 he co-founded industrial design consultancy Map with Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby.Emily Brooke MBE is Founder + CEO of beryl.cc — a start-up that creates innovative solutions for urban cycling, with technology and design at the core. She founded the company to inspire more people in cities to get on bikes, pursuing the belief that more people on bikes means better, healthier cities for us all.Chris Connors is a creative director, entrepreneur, mentor, coach, and mindfulness teacher. He is the founder of wellness tech company BeBox, an immersive space in the city where art, science, and technology meet the mind, body, and soul. He imparts inspiration, purpose, and creativity as he searches for solutions for a better global quality of life.Sophie Thomas is the founding director of Thomas Matthews, a team of communication designers based in London. The company specializes in design solutions for the built environment and social change, focusing on the delivery of good design that is appropriate, sustainable, and beautiful.“100% Futures” features products and innovations including Blubel Smart Bicycle Bell, an innovative Bluetooth-connected bicycle bell that guides the rider to the safest bike-friendly routes; CupClub, a returnable packaging service for drinks across canteens, restaurants, self-serve coffee/tea point,s and drinks vending; Magway, a revolutionary delivery system that improves air quality and congestion by removing a significant number of parcels and the delivery vans that carry them, from highways and urban areas; and Humanising Autonomy envisions a world of natural interactions between autonomous systems and people.http://www.blouinartinfo.com/ Founder: Louise Blouin Read more
