The exhibition titled “From Satire to Ceramics” featuring the works of artist Roger Law will be soon on view at Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, University of East Anglia, Norwich.The show features Law’s work, who is considered to be one of the important satirists of half of last century. Apart from creating hit television shows such as "Spitting Image with Peter Fluck," he is also a ceramic artist. Law is a known name in Jingdezhen work, known as one of China’s porcelain hubs. The selection of works on display highlights the artist’s intellectual and creative rise and also examines the environments that he has worked in. “From Satire to Ceramics” will look at the artist’s work in different sections The Newspaper and Magazine Office, The Studio Workshop, The Caricature Factory, and finally Jingdezhen that charts his shift from puppetry to porcelain.The Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts can be considered as an important public university art museum in the UK. Situated on the campus of the University of East Anglia, Norwich it opened its doors in 1978. It houses a collection that includes works by artists such as Pablo Picasso, Edgar Degas, Alberto Giacometti, Francis Bacon, and Amedeo Modigliani to name a few.
