These minimalist, borosilicate forms with subtle levels of pink and gray translucency are designed to give everyday drinking and hosting a ritualistic touch.Dixon draws inspiration from laboratory apparatus, exploring the transformative alchemy of curious instruments and chemical reactions. The collection is a manipulation of the conical, spherical and tubular building blocks — featuring articles for measuring brewing, steaming, cooling, pouring and preserving. Bump, with its subtle play in transparency and translucence, offers an elegant approach to the art of floral arranging, mixology and tea making.Tom Dixon (1959) is a self-taught British designer based out of London. He is the man behind the iconic ‘S’ chair, which he designed while working with Italian giant Capellini. Dixon’s works have been acquired by Victoria and Albert Museum and Museum of Modern Art New York.
