Western Exhibitions, Chicago will present Marshall Brown’s architectural collages that will be included at Chicago Architecture Biennial (September 16, 2017 - January 7, 2018).Western Exhibitions will present a selection of Marshall Brown’s speculative architectural collages, ranging in scale, from 2009 to present. Believing that the architect’s role is to test and expand the boundaries of reality, Marshall Brown’s projects are concerned with the interactions between architecture and power, and acts of world making. He constructs visions of urban worlds yet to come, using collages, drawings, video, objects, and built projects. Crossing disciplinary boundaries, and extending from the intertwined histories of modern art and architecture, Brown’s collages create new connections, associations, and meanings among disconnected architectural and urban remnants. In addition to the forthcoming Chicago Architectural Biennial, Marshall Brown (b. 1973 Newark, NJ) has recently presented work at Venice Architectural Biennial, The Arts Club of Chicago, Museum of Art + Design in Los Angeles, and Museum of Contemporary Art in Detroit. He received his Masters from Harvard University, and lives and works in Chicago. This exhibition runs through October 28, 2017 at Western Exhibitions, 1709 W Chicago Ave, Chicago, IL 60622 USA.For details, visit: www.westernexhibitions.comClick on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
