“Architecture After the Future,” an exhibition of works is on view at Haus der Architektur, Graz. The exhibition is based on the assumption that the understanding and visualization of the post-futuristic mood of the present society must have serious consequences for architecture as a discipline. Considering this, any architectural design, in the traditional sense of this concept, is always a future design. Then a necessary step needs to be taken to initiate the recovery of the future dimension of architectural design. This is done through eight projects that are accompanied and structured by short texts on post-futuristic design strategies. The exhibitors include BNGRT (Florian Bengert), Miloš Kosec, Ersi Krouska, Paul Landon, Paolo Patelli, José Tomás Pérez Valle, Selim Projects and Sibilasoon (Bika Rebek) and Amore Agency (Noemi Polo). The House of Architecture (HDA), founded in 1988, is a non-profit association for the transfer of architecture as well as for the promotion of quality building culture within the spheres of cultural, social, educational and economic parameters. It is based on a comprehensive understanding of architecture as a key factor in these areas and an active discussion of the related developments.“Architecture After the Future” runs through July 30, 2017 at Haus der Architektur, Mariahilferstraße 2, 8020 Graz, Austria. For details, visit: https://hda-graz.at/Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition.
