Louis Vuitton has a forty-five piece strong Objets Nomades collection and the latest additions to it were showcased at Palazzo Serbelloni during Fuorisalone 2019.The Objets Nomades collection has continued to grow since it was introduced in 2012. The collection created by Louis Vuitton brings together travel-inspired objects envisioned by the world's most renowned designers. Louis Vuitton on its website describes how the collection showcases “creative, functional and innovative furniture and objects which are elegantly crafted using Louis Vuitton’s savoir-faire.”The designers featured in the collection so far include the world famous Campana Brothers, Andre Fu, India Mahdavi, Damien Langlois-Meurinne, Nendo, Gwenael Nicolas, Raw Edges, Patricia Urquiola, Marcel Wanders, and Tokujin Yoshioka. Among the new designers who have contributed to the collection are Atelier Biagetti and Zanellato/Bortotto.Importantly this year Louis Vuitton unveiled the latest additions to the collection at the Palazzo Serbelloni in Milan during Fuorisalone 2019. Among the pieces on display, some paid tribute to the iconic Bed Trunk which was produced in 1874 as per specifications outlined by the French explorer Pierre Savorgnan de Brazza. Other new pieces such as the Anemona by Milan-based Atelier Biagetti, are inspired by what lies just below the surface of the earth and the dining table has a swirling design which is visible through the glass top. While the Serpentine Table GM by Atelier Oi is inspired by dance movements and is positioned on crisscrossing walnut legs.Offerings from the Objets Nomades collection are currently available in select stores and include pieces such as the Venezia Lantern and Diamond Armchair by Marcel Wanders.
