Set to see a specialist Monday in New York, Tebow finds himself on the disabled list with a hand injury. Per ESPN, Binghamton manager Luis Rojas says Tebow can’t even swing a bat right now.“He’s one of our able players, but he’s not able to swing. We’re really tentative to use him in any other area. The organization and our medical trainer required him to go to New York as soon as possible. We have to find out what the discomfort is. We just have to make sure that it’s nothing major.”Earlier this month, the former Heisman winner made the Eastern League All-Star game. And while he leads the Rumble Ponies in strikeouts (103 in 83 games), he’s still swinging the bat fine. In 84 games he’s slashing .273/.336/.399. The soon to be 31-year-old probably doesn’t have much of a future at the major league level, but he’s handling himself well during his second full season in the minors.
