Sen. Tom Cotton (R-AR) is clearly auditioning to be the next white supremacist attorney general when popular vote loser Donald Trump finally decides to fire the current one, Jeff Sessions. xDems' Keep Families Together Act is better called the Child Trafficking Encouragement Act. Show up at border with a minor & call him your child, then you get released into the US! Children will be abducted & sold to drug cartels & slave-traders as a free ticket into US.— Tom Cotton (@TomCottonAR) June 19, 2018 Never mind that the legislation from Sen. Cotton is just reiterating the worst of Trump’s white supremacist rantings. These aren’t families fleeing terror and violence, but “animals” that are trying to “infest our Country.” Trump is purposefully using the language that white supremacists and regimes intent on genocide—and yes, Nazis—have always used to dehumanize the other, to justify inhumane, immoral ethnic cleansing policies. Cotton is totally on board. And so is every other Republican who refuses to take real, concrete action to stand up to Trump.
