A ceremony marking National Cinema Day was held on Thursday night (September 17, 2026) in the Iranian capital, Tehran. Famous actors and actresses, along with other cinema artists, attended the ceremony. The family of Helma Ahmadizadeh, one of the schoolgirls killed in a US-Israeli airstrike on the city of Minab on February 28, also attended the event held at the Cinema Museum in Fordows Garden, located in the Tajrish neighborhood.
