Women cannot be argued into feeling safe
The discovery of nine women’s bodies in Ekurhuleni has revived a familiar debate about women’s safety and the advice they receive from police. But telling women to change their behaviour cannot be the end of the conversation. Men must confront the violence and attitudes within their own communities while demanding competent policing and accountability.
