Man caught on CCTV allegedly taking speaker from Bukit Batok shop; police investigating
A man was seen taking a speaker from a cupboard behind a shop counter in Bukit Batok, according to CCTV footage shared on TikTok.The incident reportedly took place on Wednesday (Sept 16) at about 2pm at Bukit Batok Street 31.In a TikTok video shared by mobile phone shop Top One Communication, the man can be seen standing by the counter of a shop and seemingly looking around.He then opens a cupboard behind the counter and takes out a speaker.The man proceeds to place the speaker into a plastic bag before looking around once more.He is then seen holding the bag and walking away from the shop.The video was captioned: "In Singapore, if you wanted it — you could have just say so — why did you have to steal it?"In a separate TikTok post, the user identified the location of the incident as Bukit Batok Street 31.The police confirmed to AsiaOne that a report was lodged and investigations are ongoing.AsiaOne has also contacted the shop for comment.
