'TikTok, find me a husband': Woman, 32, turns to platform after spending $1,000 on dating apps
A woman who says she has spent more than $1,000 on dating app subscriptions has turned to TikTok to find a potential husband.Dionis Liaw, 32, posted a video on her TikTok account dionislovespink, saying she had exhausted her options on dating apps after actively dating since March."I have officially run out of men in Singapore on dating apps," she said in the video.She added: "I'm outsourcing my husband's search to TikTok now. TikTok, you find me one then."The video, posted on Mon (Sept 14), has since garnered more than 135,300 views as of Thursday.In her video, Liaw said she had spent over $1,000 on premium subscriptions to dating apps including Coffee Meets Bagel, Hinge, Bumble, Facebook Dating and Matchcatch.She has since created a matchmaking form for interested men to fill in. It asks questions about their backgrounds and relationship goals. Frustrated with dating appsLiaw told Mothership that while the idea to post the video was spontaneous, her frustration with dating apps had been building for months.
