Poznej Vltavu Festival Returns to Prague on September 28
The second edition of the Poznej Vltavu (Get to Know the Vltava) festival will take place across Prague on September 28, 2026. For one day, the banks of the Vltava will host a programme exploring the river from a variety of perspectives. The festival will feature workshops, exhibitions, sports activities, boat trips, and tours of places that are not normally open to the public. Prague’s riverfront embankments and other locations along the Vltava will offer activities for children, adults, and seniors. The festival aims to highlight the Vltava as a natural part of Prague’s urban environment and an important ecological feature, while giving visitors the opportunity to spend a day exploring the river and its surroundings. Experts from a range of fields will discuss the Vltava in its broader context and offer insights into lesser-known aspects of the river. This year’s programme will involve organisations including the Prague Institute of Planning and Development, Prague City Tourism, the Prague City Gallery, the Vltava River Authority, Prague Waterworks and Sewerage Company, the Prague Water Management Company, ROPID, Prague City Forests, the Nature Conservation Agency of the Czech Republic, and many others.
