LOS ANGELES (AP) — The United States (US) Department of Justice (DOJ) failed to secure felony convictions against most of the 102 protesters who were arrested in four major cities last year on charges of assaulting federal authorities, according to an analysis by the Associated Press. The analysis focused on arrests made during protests last summer and fall in Los Angeles, Chicago, Portland, Oregon and Washington, D.C. where President Donald Trump sought to or successfully deployed the National Guard.
