Airport theft cases fall, but narcotics smuggling rises at King Shaka, OR Tambo and Cape Town airports
Parliamentary data shows reported theft cases at OR Tambo, Cape Town and King Shaka airports fell from 631 in 2023/24 to 586 in 2025/26, while narcotics cases increased from 28 to 48.
