2 taken to hospital after motorcycle rear-ends car on BKE
A motorcyclist and his pillion were taken to hospital following an accident on the Bukit Timah Expressway (BKE), according to a video uploaded to the Roads.sg Facebook page on Wednesday (Sept 9).In the video, a motorcyclist and his pillion can be seen cruising along the first lane of BKE, but the motorcyclist fails to notice a traffic congestion along the lane ahead in time, smashing into the rear of a silver Toyota Wish.The impact crushes the rear bumper and trunk of the vehicle, while the motorcyclist and his pillion fall off the bike.The motorcycle's trunk is also sent flying onto the second lane as it falls apart.Responding to queries from AsiaOne, the police and Singapore Civil Defence Force said they were alerted to an accident involving a motorcycle and a car on BKE towards Woodlands, before Woodlands Avenue 3 exit.A 21-year-old male motorcyclist and a 21-year-old female pillion were taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.
