Phala Phala committee to oppose court bids over Madonsela’s removal
Parliament’s Impeachment Committee has voted to oppose legal challenges by the EFF and the African Legal Professionals Association against its decision to rescind Adv Thandazani Madonsela’s nomination as evidence leader. The decision followed a 19–9 vote, with opposition parties arguing that the committee acted irrationally after President Cyril Ramaphosa raised concerns about a potential conflict of interest.
