Over 100 reports later, Cape Town’s mysterious night noise explained
Residents in Milnerton, Table View and Blouberg have reported persistent late-night mechanical noise. The City of Cape Town says wet-well cleaning at sewer pump stations can generate significant noise, but will investigate whether current maintenance operations are responsible.
