Latest COE results 2026: Cat A hits new record high at $133,009, all categories up across the board

Certificate of Entitlement (COE) premiums continue its dynamic rise across all categories in the first bidding exercise of September 2026, headlined by record breaking premiums for Category A and a double-digit percentage surge in motorcycle premiums. Category A premiums increased by 3.51 per cent to close at $133,009, setting a new record for the second time this year. It's also the first time Category A has crossed the $130,000 barrier.Category B, for bigger cars, increased by 3.05 per cent to close at $135,001.  Additionally, Category C, for goods vehicles and buses, rose 3.44 per cent to close at $93,101.Category D, for motorcycles, saw the most significant jump of the exercise, surging 11.11 per cent (or $1,255) to close at $12,556. Since the first exercise in July 2026, motorcycle premiums have remained above the $10,000 threshold, a level considered elevated for the category.Category E, the open category mainly bought by high-net-worth individuals, car speculators, and dealerships, saw the smallest percentage increase this round. It rose by $2,890 to close at $137,890.
