Singapore to raise ministers’ salaries to record levels
The Singaporean government has approved a significant increase in the salaries of its political leaders, which are already among the highest in the world. Under the new proposed benchmark, the annual salary of a junior minister could reach S$1.8 million ($1.42 million), while Prime Minister Lawrence Wong’s annual pay could rise to S$3.6 million ($2.85 million).
