Gauteng car parts supplier fined R75K for fitting wrong engine, ordered to refund owner with interest
The National Consumer Tribunal ordered a Pretoria engine supplier to release a customer’s Ford Focus, refund a R5,000 deposit with interest and pay a R75,000 fine after finding that the wrong engine was installed and the vehicle withheld for years.
