WAEC blames weak grammar, poor reading culture for decline in 2026 WASSCE English results
The Head of Public Affairs at the West African Examinations Council (WAEC), Ghana, John Kapi, has attributed the decline in candidates' performance in English Language in the 2026 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) partly to persistent weaknesses in grammar, poor reading habits, and the influence of informal language.
