'Heaven gained an angel': Tributes pour in after content creator Wilfred Lee, 26, dies in his sleep
Social media content creator Wilfred Lee died in his sleep at the age of 26 on Saturday (Sept 5). Lee previously went viral in June after he was slammed for filming his matcha spill on an MRT train.Family and friends have taken to Lee's most recent Instagram post, shared on Aug 19, to leave tributes following news of his death.One user, who identified herself as Lee's aunt, revealed that he had died in his sleep. Describing Lee as a "kind and cheerful soul", she commented: “He went to bed as usual but, sadly, he never woke up. ... You left us far too soon, but your love and memories will forever remain in our hearts. Rest peacefully." Fellow local influencers and creators also offered their condolences in the comments, including lifestyle content creator Ian Jeevan, singer-host Kenji Ng and social media personality Fauzi Azzhar.Jeevan wrote: "Fly high my guy. Still in shock and can’t believe you left us so soon. Will always remember you for your radiant smile and laughter king. RIP."
