Fire breaks out at semi-detached house in Kovan
A fire broke out at a semi-detached house in Kovan on Saturday (Sept 5) afternoon.Residents in the area told AsiaOne they noticed a burning smell from about 2pm, and also reported hearing what sounded like an explosion at about 3pm.When AsiaOne reached the scene just after 5pm, thick smoke could still be seen billowing out from the property.It could be observed from about 450m away on Hougang Avenue 2. Smoke could be seen from a high-rise private residential development about 500m away.
