Prague Welcomes Tea Experts and Producers from Around the World
Prague will welcome tea producers, experts and enthusiasts from around the world next weekend as Euro Tea Expo returns to the Czech capital for its second edition. The two-day event, taking place on November 14 and 15, will bring together 37 exhibitors and focus on tea traditions from different parts of the world. This year’s theme is “Chinese White Tea – The Heritage of Fuding.” One of the main guests will be Master Lin Zhenchuan, a recognised inheritor of the traditional Fuding white tea-making techniques and founder of PINPINTEA. Fuding white tea production is listed as part of China’s National Intangible Cultural Heritage. With more than 30 years of experience, Master Lin will introduce visitors to the craftsmanship and history behind Fuding white tea through presentations and guided tastings. Guests will also be able to compare fresh and aged white teas and learn more about the ageing process. The programme will feature demonstrations and presentations covering several tea traditions, including a traditional Shē ethnic group white tea performance, Sichuan gaiwan tea culture and long-spout teapot demonstrations.
