Passports Chief inspects Makkah status-correction center to oversee services for Yemenis
MAKKAH — Acting Director General of the General Directorate of Passports Maj. Gen. Dr. Saleh Al-Murabba inspected the status-correction center at the General Services Center in Shumaisi in the Makkah region. The visit aimed to oversee services provided to Yemeni nationals currently in the Kingdom with illegal status who are benefiting from the status-correction initiative. Al-Murabba urged passport staff to intensify their efforts to streamline procedures, enabling Yemeni nationals to regularize their status in accordance with established regulations. He also emphasized the importance of leveraging digital services and ensuring that status-correction centers across the Kingdom are fully equipped to serve the initiative's beneficiaries. It is noteworthy that the General Directorate of Passports started last month procedures to rectify the status of Yemeni nationals residing illegally across Saudi Arabia. This was in line with implementing the directive of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman in response to a request from the President of the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council Rashad Al-Alimi.
